"Four young men from Princes Town are tonight missing after they went to cut bamboo in preparation for Divali celebrations. The mother of one of the young men told this reporter that she warned the group to stay away from Dragon Hill, Garth Road because the area was known to be haunted. She fears that they may have gone to the bamboo grove which is the location of a burial site referred to by residents as the 'White Man's' grave. An elderly neighbour told us that it is common knowledge that the grave is guarded by a headless creature wrapped in chains who lives in the bamboo grove. He said, and we quote:

'He does walk with a coffin and if yuh see d' coffin it too late. Them young fellas take it for a joke.'

The authorities are searching for the young men but insist that the search can only be conducted during the day. When pressed as to why this was so they refused to give an explanation.
